KEVIN GARDNER

Dr. Kevin H. Gardner is the Executive Vice President for Research and Innovation at the University of Louisville and a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Gardner leads a research enterprise with FY20 expenditures of $200 million and a broad-reaching innovation and technology transfer program that has seen new company starts in defense space and successful therapies advanced in the last year. He was previously the Vice Provost for Research at the University of New Hampshire and Director of the NH EPSCoR program. Throughout his academic career he focused on the fields of environmental engineering, contaminant behavior in the aquatic environment, and sustainability science and engineering. He has been PI or Co-PI on over $60 million in awards, produced over 100 publications and mentored over 40 graduate students and numerous faculty, undergraduates, teachers and high school students.
